Charter & Ordinances
The Town of Esto is governed by the Town Charter, which was adopted by the Florida State Legislature in 1963, and approved by the future town residents on July 16, 1963.

The Town Council adopts ordinances as a means of governing various aspects of town life, including residents and businesses; everything from how the Town government is structured, to living conditions, building regulation, health and sanitation, noise, and garbage and zoning uses, just to name a few.

The town council also adopts resolutions. Resolutions are often used to address matters of a special or temporary nature. Resolutions are generally passed by a majority vote of the council without any advance notification. Information on the passed town resolutions can be found in the Town Minutes & Agendas.
