Esto Town Council Restructures Public Works Department, Introduces Town Manager Position

Esto, April 17, 2024 – The Esto Town Council, in its regular monthly meeting on April 16, 2024, announced a significant change in the town’s organizational structure. The Council decided to revamp the Public Works Department by replacing the Public Works Director position with a new hybrid Town Manager role.

The Town Manager will take on various responsibilities, including:

  • Hiring and firing town employees with council approval
  • Managing HR and payroll functions
  • Representing Esto at county commission meetings and other public events
  • Collaborating closely with public works staff

Council Member Josh Davenport stepped down from the Council and was appointed interim Town Manager until a permanent hire is made.
