Town of Esto to Begin Capital Improvement Plan in January 2025
The Town of Esto is taking an exciting step toward its future by launching a comprehensive Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) beginning in January 2025. This initiative will focus on evaluating and improving the town’s infrastructure, including roads, parks, the water system, and other key public assets. The plan will look at both current and future needs, explore funding opportunities, and provide a strategic roadmap for Esto’s growth and development over the coming years.
At the November 19 Town Council meeting, the council approved the creation of the CIP, which is expected to take 6-7 months to complete. The goal is to have the plan finalized by August 2025, so it can be used as part of the town’s application for the 2025 Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program grant. This grant could provide critical funding for improvements at John Clark Park.
Community Participation
The Town of Esto is encouraging all residents to get involved in the CIP process. This is an opportunity for citizens to play an active role in shaping the future of our community. Residents will help determine the priorities for the plan, contribute to the development of the final document, and provide valuable input on the town’s infrastructure needs.
Public input will be gathered throughout the project, with multiple opportunities for residents to share their ideas and opinions. Whether through surveys, meetings, or community discussions, this is a chance to have your voice heard in shaping the direction of Esto’s growth.
What Is the Goal of the CIP?
The Capital Improvement Plan will serve several important functions for the town of Esto:
- Infrastructure Improvement: The CIP will help the town identify and prioritize infrastructure improvements, such as road repairs, park upgrades, water system maintenance, and other key public services.
- Budgeting and Maintenance: It will also help Esto plan for future maintenance and replacement needs, ensuring that the town’s infrastructure remains in good condition for years to come.
- Future Planning: The CIP will serve as an aspirational document that sets a vision for Esto’s future growth and improvement, identifying long-term goals and making sure the town is prepared for upcoming challenges and opportunities.

Public Meetings and Updates
As the CIP is developed, there will be public meetings held to gather feedback and input from the community. These meetings will provide a platform for residents to voice their opinions and offer suggestions on the projects and priorities that should be included in the plan. Once the CIP is completed, a final public meeting will be held to present the plan to the community.
Why This Matters
